OMS PTSO
Who are we?
We are the O’Donnell Middle School Parent Teacher Student
Organization! All families, including students are welcome to our meetings. We consist
of a Board and the parent and student population of the OMS
What do we expect?
We do pretty much everything that the Elementary Schools do. Plus some new things!
Fundraising, BoxTops/Campbells Soup labels, Staff Appreciation, Volunteer/Copying Committee, Enrichments,
Hospitality, Membership, Newsletter, Spirit Wear, School Dances, and School Store. Our meetings are held in the same format as those at the Elementary Schools.
Hot Topics!
We have frequent Guest Speakers, including the Stoughton Police Department on Internet
Safety, members from the Stoughton Youth Commissions with programs and resources
available to families, and more.
Communication differences
So, one BIG difference is communication! Not many flyers come home in
those back packs, so the PTSO meetings are a great resource for information. The EMAIL
LIST is very important, for $5 become a member and get on the email list as soon
as possible to receive all the OMS PTSO (and more) info!
Why be involved?
We all know being involved in your children’s school’s PTO’s is one
of the most valuable resources to stay plugged in to what is going on in the school, and
to hear directly from teachers and principals. It also gives us the opportunity to volunteer
for the school to support all the important programs that the PTO’s are responsible for
to benefit the schools.
